Drivers, please always remember to look out for the parking charges before entering any carparks. It took me a total of $20.88 to realise my mistake.
Mistake 1:
Yesterday, I did not realise that it costs $0.08/min to park at the carpark near the SRC. In the end, Dear had to go back to Yusof Ishak to top up the cashcard to pay the carpark charges of $17.68!!!!!
Lesson Learnt:
Unless you are parking for awhile or you are filthy rich and do not mind NUS eating your money like nobody’s business, do not park at the carpark near SRC.
Mistake 2:
Today, I wanted to buy ulcer cream from the Guardian at Holland Village. So Dear decided to drive into the carpark of Holland Village Shopping Centre and drive out within the 15-minute grace period. I waited at the exit of the carpark and saw him stuck behind the gantry. There is actually no freaking grace period for this carpark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time, I am the one to go to the ATM to top up the cashcard and pay $3.20 for less than 10 minutes of parking.
Lesson Learnt:
Neither assume that all carparks have grace period nor buy ulcer cream from Guardian at Holland Village again.
But were these mistakes my faults? Shouldn’t it be the responsibility of the driver to be aware of the charges before entering carparks? Why am I the one paying for the charges?
Whoever’s fault it is, I will open my eyes big big before my driver enters any carpark from now on. Who cares if the driver behind is horning? Who cares if the car has to reverse and cause a nuisance? I don’t care anymore!!!!!!!!!!!
