February is considered the wedding season as I was so busy preparing and attending weddings, though it is only 2 of my friends who are getting married.
Chuyun's Hen Party 23rd February 2008, Grand Plaza Park Hotel
Considering that Chuyun is the first to get married in the Pink Army, we decided to throw her a surprise hen party. It has been a long time since Pink Army has gathered in full strength. We are even split into various committee to put tis party together. Needless to say, I was in the Arts department again where I had to design a certificate for Chuyun. (Each of us will get a similar certificate in future when it is our turn.)
The theme for the party was "Pink and Pyjamas". The usual events include cam-whoring session and drinking. With the aim of concussing the hen, we played Indian Poker but in the end, the mission failed. Instead, a couple concussed after a few drinks (one even fell off a chair) and we ended the game when I did not even drink a sip of alcohol!!!!!!
By the time the clock strikes 12, almost everyone was lying on the bed, ready to sleep. OMG!!!!! We are really old now. I hope my hen party will not turn out this way, at least there should be a striptease show. hee...
Ready for the Pyjamas Party!!!!

Chuyun - Certified to be officially married on 27th Feb
The next day after the hen party, it was Jorgina's wedding dinner. How exhausting can it be...*sigh* It was rare to see the Swiss gang dressed to their nines and looking at the group photo we took, I felt so old. 25!!!!! Quarter-life crisis is coming!!!!!
Time to visit the salon but I am wondering what I should do to my hair....
Had a really bad start for the day. Dear was supposed to set the alarm at 7.45am but he set it at 8am. To worsen it, the damn clock always rings at a later time than set. In the end, I woke up at 8.25am and had to take a cab (which cost me $14 as I had to call for a cab) to rush down for my 9am tutorial.
Getting aside this incident, what bothered me the most was the very first SMS I saw when I woke up. A friend of mine who has just ROM-ed informed me that she is calling off the wedding dinner as she has just broken up with her fiancé.
The only thought came to my mind – a third party.
I was right.
I always thought they are meant for each other. Who would have thought a guy like him would actually stray? Or should I say it is rather difficult to find another woman to like him?
But this woman exists. And he proves to be a typical guy who finds it hard to resist temptations.
How can a man be so irresponsible?
If you are not willing to commit, why did you ROM?
If you have no feelings for a woman, why did you say you want to spend Valentine’s with her forever?
When a person has a change of heart, nothing else matters. There is a better catch waiting for me now. So what if we have been together for years? So what if my parents are upset? So what if I am going to hurt your feelings or ruin your life?
Humans are selfish.
Love relationships are vulnerable.
You said you love me and promised never to leave me.
Now, you are a stranger whom I cannot recognise anymore.
Does love eternity exist? Or love simply transforms into kinship? Do love and betrayal come as a package?
Is marriage really a tombstone? I know of people who cheat on their ignorant wives. Will I become one of them too? Or will I pretend to be one? With many of my friends getting married or making plans for marriage, I was embedded in joy and happiness. Till this SMS came which woke me up from Lala-Land. Is the ‘breaking-up’ season coming back again?
I can totally understand how my friend feels now.
Anger. Betrayal. Disappointment. Devastation. Lost. Regrets.
All I can say to console her is “It’s a good thing you did not marry him. Better than when he cheats on you when you are married right?”
Time is the only medicine to cure her emotional wounds, or perhaps a better man, I guess.
It's Ladies' Nite @ Fashion Bar for my dearest buddy, Xiujiao's 25th birthday celebration. We wanted to go to Barfly but it was closed. haiz...but Fashion Bar turns out not too bad too. But Dear said it resembles an asylum with the cushioned walls and the presence of a bath tub at the corner of the bar kind of took me by surprise too. It totally looked out of place. A bath tub is considered fashionable? hmmm...
Dear and I treated Xiujiao Waterfall which kind of took her by surprise when the waiter spilled the drink. For more information, check out Xiujiao's blog.
