I went to NUS for matriculation of my Post-graduate course and medical check-up. Seriously, I do not understand why I have to take the medical check-up again. Didn't I take them in Year 1? Like what Dear said: Do they possibly think that I might get AIDS after 4 years of study in NUS? Haiz..Studying in NUS is always of so many chores.
The 1st station was as usual: Weighing and Eye Test. And as expected, i have put on weight. Shucks. But my eyesight is still perfect. Whey.
Next, Urine Test Station. This is the one which I spent the most time on.
Not because of queuing, but because I had difficulty filling that small cup to half.
Not because I couldn't urinate, but because I mis-aimed.
Haiz...So I was inside the toilet and drinking tap water profusely, hoping that the fluid will enter my urinary tract soon. But I forgot that the length of human intestines is as long as 4m..or is it 5? Whatever. I was jumping in the toilet and hoping that it will travel down sooner. After spending around 15 minutes inside the toilet, I managed to fill 1/3 of the cup. All the above mentioned was done when I was alone in the toilet.
In the end, I saw others who gave cups which are like 1/15 filled!!!!!!!!!!!! The nurses don't even need that much of urine to test!!!!!!! Why the hell did the nurse ask me to half-fill the cup!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Waste my time leh!!!!!!! argh.... (-_-)
Then it was lunch time and I had a shitty lunch with the canteen filled with PRCs. Even the 'Local Delights' and 'Malay Food' stalls were run by PRCs.
X-ray was after lunch. I realised Asian females are just so conservative. We had to remove our bras and change into the disposable gowns. When the ladies came out of the dressing room, almost all of them covered up their assets with whatever they have e.g. bags and clothes. Why so shy? We are all women. Nothing to hide ah. So you must be thinking I must have walked out like a true woman. No I didn’t'. I did the same. =P
And after waiting for another 1 hr and so, I was examined by a doctor whom I thought should be a woman. That is because when we were in Year 1, our breasts were checked by a female doctor. Thus, I thought the breast check was necessary this time too. When the male doctor told me to lie on the bed, I was starting to worry. What should I do? Should I really let him touch me? Is that permissible? In the end, it was just normal checks for breathing. No touching. Chey.
So that ended the check-up and I left NUS as a healthy person. Yea!!!
