The Swiss gang decided to have spice up our gatherings for once by setting a theme to the 2008 countdown party at Sicong's house. Since it was our first theme party, we decided to have something easy to start with - Uniform!!!!!!
School Uniforms
The outfit did not have to be one that you have wore before, one can put together anything as long as it looks like an uniform of any kind. Surprisingly, I can still fit into my Swiss uniform but I replaced the top with a long sleeve as I couldn't find the old one. In the end, most of us turned up in school uniforms. Some in our previous school uniforms and some even made the effort to go buy a set i.e. Wenyao & Zhengyi (Princess Elizabeth Primary School i.e. their Primary school) and Sicong & Zeming (Clementi Town Secondary School cos cheapest). But it was quite a pleasant surprise that all of us except Yorklin, were so sporting. I was actually expecting quite a number would be spoilers. 
Couples
It was quite fun to see a few couples in uniform too.

Possession of the "Obi" glasses
The best props were the 'obi' glasses and stethoscope that Yingshan brought. Almost everyone seem to be obsessed with them and was 'possessed' when they wore them, especially the glasses. But Dear and Sicong had the best expressions while in those glasses, as usual. 
Bengs
Then there was another group of people who were trying so hard to fulfill their childhood dream of becoming a beng. At the same time, they were tarnishing the reputation of the school which they bought the uniform from. haiz.... One of them even thought he could go gothic by putting on a black tie and ring and not forgetting the dark eye make-up with my help. Wasted almost a quarter of my eyeliner man. Got to restock my make-up liao.
SAF uniform
To fulfill Kim Seng's another fetish, all the guys brought an extra set of costume i.e. the SAF uniform. Actually it wasn't that bad of an idea to have a photograph of all the guys in the same SAF uniform. (except for Dear who was in Navy but he looked like the commander.) Xiujiao and I were the "hua chi" who joined in the fun too. 
Group photo
For once, our group photos had a fresh change. It always the same place, same background and same people. God knows which gathering was it when we looked at the photos. As usual, it took us around half an hour to get the first picture taken and another half an hour to finish posing for several futile shots. 
Countdown
Finally, it was the countdown. I got a cheese cake from Secret Recipe which most of them said the cheese portion wasn't as nice compared to the chocolate mousse on it. I shall just get the normal cream cake next time. And note the strawberries which were added on as the cake was too dull. It looked so much nicer with the additions. We were tuning to Channel 5 and we countdown with many others who were in Vivocity!!!! But it took us quite long to blow the candles as everyone was simply too shy. In the end, someone suggested that we stand a distance away from the cake and blow them together. (to prevent too much saliva on the cake) Good idea. Everyone had their fair share.
It was really a great way to start the new year. No squeezing. No sweat. No loud music. Just great company. We should have more of such theme parties. And with alcohol next time too. hee...Happy New Year!!!!!!
