Valentine's Day was rather dull this time round. The plan was to go for a couple massage spa (which I was so looking forward to), dinner (meant to be a surprise arranged by Dear) and perhaps movie or chill-out. However, thanks to my relative who decided to pay me an early visit, we had to cancel the couple massage spa. To worsen it, our IT-challenged boy thought he booked the tickets online but in fact, the booking did not go through. In the end, we went to Great World for nothing and wasted $3 for car parking.
Thus, the only event of Valentine's Day 2008 is dinner at The Wine Company. At first, I thought, "$70 nett/pax for a Valentine's Day dinner, how good can the food be?" I was wrong. For $70 nett, we had:
A Glass of Nadal Cava Rosado Brut NV, Spain
Starter
Oyster with Bloody Mary Salsa
Prawn Cocktail
Foie Gras in Toasted Bread
Main Course
Sea Bass with Sear Scallop
or
Beef Fillet wrapped in Bacon
Dessert
Chocolate Molten Lava Cake
After the wasted trip to Great World, we then decided to go to Brewerkz in Bukit Timah and found that it has not open for business yet. Another futile trip again. In the end, we went to Shop and Save to buy a bottle of wine and went home to drink after our cam-whoring session in the room.
