It seems like I am getting used to be the Chef-of-the-Day for weekends now. Reason being - It is cheaper to eat at home and Dear always complained that my mum's cooking is not to his liking. Thus, I had to sacrifice (though I actually enjoy cooking for my loved ones)
I shall just post a blog every weekend, for those who might be interested in trying out the recipes. Hee. However, Dear and Mei will have to suffer as I always have to take photographs and they are always complaining about it. "Oh ya hor...you got to take pictures again...haiz..." is so frequently heard. Wahaha
For a change, I decided to cook Western food for last week - Lasagne .
The ingredients
Lasagne verdi 1 packet (around 10 sheets
Mozzarella cheese 1 packet (250g)
Pasta sauce 1 bottle
Tomato 3x
Minced meat (pork/beef) 200g
Ham 4 slices
Shittake Mushroom Half a packet
Capsicum 1x
Onion 1x
Firstly, marinate the meat with sesame oil, pepper, salt and basil leaves. Stir-fry the mince-meat and onions with olive oil or butter. Repeat the steps for the capsicum and onionsham, and mushrooms. Put aside.
Boil water and add a few drops of oil into it to prevent the lasagne verdi from sticking together. Add in the verdi till they are cooked. (Don't ask me how to see if they are cooked. It is like cooking your usual spaghetti. Use your agaration k
Grease your container. Spread pasta sauce on the bottom of the container. (I used my baking ware for cakes as I couldn't find another suitable tupperware.) Add a layer of verdi on top of the pasta sauce. Spread pasta sauce on the verdi, followed by a moderate amount of mozzarella cheese. (Can choose to put the cheese in alternate layers instead of each layer.) Add in one of the toppings i.e. green capsicum and onion, for mine as shown below. Cover up with another layer of verdi.
Repeat the steps for the various layers
1st layer - Capsicum and onion
2nd layer - Ham
3rd layer - Tomatos
4th layer - Minced meat with onions
5th layer - MushroomsAfter the last ingredient is added, cover up with a layer of verdi. Spread with pasta sauce followed by a layer of mozarrella cheese. Sprinkle some basil leaves.
Ready to be baked.
Preheat your oven at 180 degrees celsius for 10 minutes. When it is done, bake the lasagne at the same temperature for 30-45 minutes.
