TGIF, 5th December 2008 Almost $100 spent for the 3 of us. I wished we had spent that at the Gluttons Bay instead. Let's go there again!!!!! I don't care!!!! BooHooHoo....
Steamboat@Hotpot Culture, Marina Square
The original plan was to eat at the Makansutra Gluttons Bay and chill at Esplanade with Xiujiao and Sicong. However, 天不作美, it started to rain and we had a change of plan - Steamboat at Marina Square, simply because I felt like binging. ROOOAAARRRRR!!!!!
After an extremely unsatisfying steamboat with the Pinkies last Friday at the restaurant below Top One KTV (Yes guys...don't go to that restaurant k..it's no good.), I just wanted to fulfill my desire for a good steamboat dinner. *sobz*
The steamboat was average as the soup was simply cooked with chicken stock cubes but the meal was still considered satisfying as they served a rather extensive variety of cooked dishes (which I almost ordered all) and chocolate fondue which are included in the buffet dinner. Still worth the money. However, drinks are not included. Dammit. Personally, I felt that the dishes were not bad but the other 2 begged to differ and claimed that I have not eaten for too long. Hmmph!

City Square, Johor
As Dear's cousin asked him to import some stuffs for him, we had to squeeze our way through the customs. After suffering for 2 hours in the jam and finding a carpark lot, we finally began our day at City Square.
Basically, it was just a regular shopping mall trip with a mini adventure. We had lunch and shopped for the stuffs to import back. Then, Dear had a regular hair cut and we watched "Bolt". I still have this phobia of watching movie in City Square now, ever since I lost my handphone after watching "Ratatouile". Therefore, when the show ended, we checked our seats thoroughly, including our vicinity. This time, a wallet is lost. Not ours though. We picked up the wallet and was contemplating if we should pass it to the staff. In the end, we decided not to as we feared that they might just keep it for themselves - the same suspicion we had for my lost handphone previously. *Angry*
The staff led us out of the theatre and we wanted to wait for the owner of the wallet but to our surprise, he was already outside the theatre talking to another staff. We returned him the wallet, then we went for Dear's craved-for-long curry noodles and back home without a jam. Happy Ending.Sunday, 7th December 2008
West Coast Park
After so long, Dear and I finally went for my first kite-flying excursion-cum-picnic!!!! Time to experience the lifestyle of a Malay family for once. Hee.
I thought we will be the only kukus in the park flying kites but to my surprise, we were not the only ones. The park was in fact rather crowded. It is really nice and refreshing to spend a day outdoors. Eat and drink on the patches, chat and quarrel, get some tan, work out some sweat and people-watch. A cheap and healthy way to spend the day.
Off we go to West Coast Park!!!
Dear went to buy 4D (in hope of recuperating losses from his summon) and I got bored.
Picnic food-Potato Salad, Sandwiches, Salad, Pasta and of course not forgetting, Wine!!!!
