Stupidity
Today, I tried drinking manuka honey mixed with water for the first time.
According to information I gathered, honey is slightly acidic in pH, so it may react with metal and de-ionise the natural antibacterial ingredients in it. So, there will be no point in consuming it if the honey comes into contact with metal.
Thus, I made effort to bring a plastic teaspoon to office.
I scooped 1 teaspoon of honey into my cup and added in hot and cold water to ensure that the water will be at room temperature which is the other point to remember.
As I stirred, I realised I did a dumb mistake.
My cup is metal. (thermal mug)
How smart I am.
*applaudzzzz*
*sips honey water from metal cup*

Valentine's 2009
Valentine's Gift Exchange
I wanted to buy something else interesting for Dear Dear (Can't disclose due to sensitive issues...hee..) but due to some problems, I could not buy it. In the end, I bought Dear Dear a Man Utd shoebag since he adores Man Utd so much. He likes it but he thought I could get him something more romantic instead. Afterall, it's Valentine's!!! I DID OK!!! I WANTED TO!!! But...but...never mind. I still gave you a card which had a recording of my voice too right!!! Give me some credit la!!!! *sobz*
Dear gave me a handmade card with a sweet poem and a pair of couple digital watch which can be used whenever we go for jogs. So sweet and thoughtful. Thank you Dear! He also gave me a bouquet of fake flowers as he thought those real flowers always end up in the bin, so he might as well give me a fake one. There's even a bear (supposingly moi) on top of the flowers. Slightly over-accessorised with all the blings though. But I still adore this bouquet as I thought the flowers looked almost like real ones too. Something different for a change but not all the time k? =)
Huge ear and belly studs on moi...Ouch!!!
Valentine's Part I
Dinner@Satsuma Shochu Dining Bar, Gallery Hotel
I told Dear that we should go to a Japanese restaurant for a change and he brought me to this restaurant which I actually went before. Nevertheless, I did not mind going there again since it is really quite a great place (which I think I did a blog review on it before) and Dear did not go there before. So why not?
Dear Dear said I glowed!!!!
"Nice ambience!" Dear thought.

Valentine's Part II
Singapore Love Letters@National Museum of Singapore
Dear thought we should have a highly-cultured and civilised Valentine's this time round and thus, he brought me to a play. I thought he will bring me to a musical but this one is just fine too. The play consists of 2 stories in the 1960s: The first one narrates how love letters started off a romantic love affair of a young couple in the Paramount cinema. The second one narrates the struggled love lives of a polygamy family in the 1960s through the exchange of love letters between the 10th wife (starring by Tan Kheng Hua) and his husband who is always away on business trips. A humorous play which stirs our emotions. So appropriate and sweet to watch on Valentine's.
During the interval, we were told to send in a love sms to win a Lanvin perfume and a pair of tickets for another play. I looked around and it seemed that no one was sending any messages at all, so I told Dear to send one and we will have a high chance of winning. But we were wrong!!!! There were actually some sneaky people who sent the sms-es too and they were pretty good ones. 輸得心服口服. Hmmph.

Valentine's Part III
Chill-out@Alphabet Bar, Amara Hotel
After the play, we thought we should have some drinks and after much debate and wandering, we settled for Amara Hotel without knowing if there is any suitable bar or lounge in it. After all, a hotel shouldn't go wrong right?
Thankfully, the Alphabet Bar turns out to be quite a pleasant place to chill out. Their house wine, Alphabet White, turned out to be better than I expected. Dear had a Banana Daiquiri which did not have any taste of banana as the alcohol taste overwhelmed it instead. A rather 'different' bar and we spent most of our time critising the band and the waitresses in the bar.
We then finished our drinks and proceeded to Serangoon to pick up our new kitten. Yes. You did not see wrongly. A new kitten. I will blog about her real soon. Stay tuned!
Happy Valentine's Dear!!!
Thank you and sorry for everything...
Love ya lotz lotzz lotzzz!!!!
*muackzzzzz*

Lost Love
Dear's family wanted to get a companion for their lonely Timmy. After much effort in searching, we managed to adopt Simba and Peanut as the fosterer insisted that they should be adopted together.

New faces of my life
Introducing some of the faces that I see almost everyday now. Even more often than my family and Dear Dear.
TADA!!!!!!

We had a mini-birthday lunch with one of our colleagues and I feel like puking chocolate now. Anyway, only one of them is in my team (1st man from the left) who is my unit head. The rest of them are in the other unit (including my buddy who is on my right) but both units are under the same section head who is the lady on my left. Confusing? I am confused myself too. The hierarchy is killing me. Besides my unit head, I am the only architect in my unit. Thus, we usually hang out with the other unit where most of the architects are in.
Generally, this bunch of guys are friendly and nice to hang out with. Not much of office polities here as we all have a common "goal". Hee.
A few of them even have weekly runs to the MacRitchie Reservoir and asked me to join in. 10km run!!!! When it rains, they climb the stairs of the office which is 33 storeys!!!!! Crazy man. Most probably, I will just take the bus back. I can imagine my face smudged in makeup and sweat after dragging myself back to the offce. Gross and unsightly man.
Meanwhile, I shall just enjoy my status as the youngest architect for now. *shakes leg*

2nd day@Work
Greetings from workplace!!!!!!!
I thought I would have the time to blog in the office on my 1st day of work but apparently, I did not.
1st half of the day was orientation and I almost fell asleep.
My face was so stiff and I think I have shook over 100 hands.
Then it was lunch.
The rest of the day was free time.
I had the impression that most of the staffs would be aunties and uncles. But surprisely, I was wrong. There is quite a fair share of youngsters as the aunties and uncles belong to the support unit. Thank Buddha man.
Most of my colleagues are very friendly. Some even made the effort to come to my desk for chit-chat. *touched* But there are really too many names to remember. I bumped into a colleague in the toilet and she addressed me by my name but I don't even remember seeing her before that!!! I guess I should go through the mailing list and memorise the names later. Hmmm.
My office cubicle is a pleasant surprise too. It is slightly too huge for me I guess. So huge that I can hardly fill it up. As compared to the other cubicles which are like cluttered with stuffs, mine seems like it is empty. But thankfully my PC is brand new!!! So lucky that I am the 1st one to get a new PC. The rest were complaining about their giant lao pok monitor. Hee.
So, take a look at my office space.

Empty hor? I purplely left the documents in such way to give the impression that I am reading it. Hee.
1 hour more to lunch time!!!!
6 hours more to BAN GAN!!!!!!
