Waiting for my breakfast...
And so is the grounchy old man...
View from the restaurant...no sight of locals bathing at the river though...
Fruits and cereal...essentials to clear the bowels...
Bacon and omelette for moi....and ya...no buffet...just this...sobz...
We then started our day tour which is included in the hotel package. The 1st stop was this Elephant Temple.
We entered the cave temple and saw this. Lotsa smoke. There was an altar at the end of it and holes at the side walls which are meditation spots for the priests. Spooky.
Off to the next temple. Thousands of steps to climb before we reached the temple. Nice view along the climb.
We finally reached the temple! It became so cooling the moment we entered the temple. And let Priest Lee cleanse you with some holy water before you enter.
The Rocky Temple.
The river which runs through the temple and they think it is sacred.
Our next stop-Holy Spring Temple
Locals bathing themselves in the spring water before entering the temple.
Next stop - Active Volcano in Bali i.e. Mt Batur and Lake Batur
It's been so long since I last came to T1. There's even a new shopping centre coming up soon. Surprising, Airasia is at Terminal 1! So happy...That's why you didn't see me in the budget terminal, Wai Har. =p
Spot our flight?
Dear: Why are you taking so many pictures of T1? Never come here before meh?!?!
Didn't take any pictures of Bali airport. Very non-inspiring. Started to roll my camera after getting into our room. Tantra suite. Supposingly, it's their honeymoon suite. Not too bad. Very Balinese feel.
The ceiling looks pitched but it is actually flat.
The bathroom has 2 windows and the balcony is just outside the bathroom which leads to the pool. Therefore, anyone can just come up and peep into our bathroom when we are bathing! So scary. We had to take turns to stand guard whenever we bathed. =(
Thinking of what to eat while he is taking a crap...Talk about efficiency.
Day 1 - Time to explore Ubud!
Bali Spirit Hotel - Bagus sia!
Almost all houses in Bali have this string like ornaments in front of them.
Handy leaves...weird.
Balineses like to wrap a piece of cloth around their statues or pagans as they believe they have a spirit of their own. Humans have to wear clothes...so do they.
Dear's desperation to join the kids for soccer. There were a few ang moh kids playing with them too.
Feeding time for the monkeys. So scary. They are just found everywhere.
Then we got back to hotel for our candlelight dinner which is provided by the hotel.
Nice lights.
Cheers to Balinese Hatten wine!
Waiting for my food...
Still waiting under the pavilion....
After dinner, they presented the birthday cake which I actually spent alot of effort negotiating with the staff over the email. In the end, it didn't turn out to be a surprise when the counter staff asked me about the cake upon check-in. Fuck. Why do they always have to do that?
Dear: They didn't write my name! I shall do it myself.
