Shopping@Illuma, Victoria Street
The original plan was to go to the Marina Barrage after sweeping tomb at Brighthill. However, the heavy downpour spoilt everything. We couldn't even step into the compounds of Brighthill, not to say sightseeing at Marina Barrage. We desperately need to go somewhere else - somewhere sheltered where we won't be bothered by the rain. In the end, we decided to check out the new shopping centre - Illuma which is opposite Bugis Junction. I hate rain!!!!!
I guess the design and the owner of Illuma must have loved the colour red alot. Everywhere is red in colour! The walls, the columns, the toilets and even the carpark! Very 'wang' sia. But I must say I do like the overall interior design of the mall. However, my complaints are that the aircon was too fucking cold and the shops were just not attractive enough. The only things I bought were a shawl (as I was too damn cold) and a pair of earring.

Big Heads Unite!!Buffet Ala-carte Dinner@Peony Jade Restaurant, Clarke Quay
Took quite some time to finally decide on this restaurant. Mei wanted shark fins. I wanted buffet and within my budget. Thus, Peony Jade it is!
The overall ambience wasn't that bad. But the light was slightly too dim for our preference. There was quite a variety of dishes where the menu consists of 50 dishes to choose from. The food was up to our expectations but the desserts weren't that great. We ordered a total of 20 dishes but I thought we could have eaten more. Hate to eat buffets with Mum and Mei. So 'bo hua' as they are always the first to throw the towel and will leave the remaining food to the the rest of us a.k.a. rubbish bins.
Their service was great as well, though the food was served slightly slower when the crowd started to came in. Overall, I thought it is a restaurant that is worth visiting again. But I will go for ala-carte dishes instead. We were looking at the other tables and the non-buffet dishes seemed to be quite nice too. =p
